The Maharashtra government on Thursday decided to fill up 75 thousand vacancies outside the purview of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). Along with this, it has also given consent to waive the crop loan of 945.15 crore taken by the farmers from the Land Development Bank. This information has been given in an official statement.
In a statement issued from the Chief Minister’s Office, it has been said that in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, it has also been decided to create a body like ‘NITI Aayog’ to advise the state government.
The cabinet decided that TCS and IBPS will conduct examinations for recruitment to 75,000 posts of Class-B, Class-C and Class-D non-gazetted employees. In another decision, the cabinet approved a proposal to set up a “Maharashtra Transformation Institute” on the lines of NITI Aayog to provide guidance to the state government.
The government also approved the formation of 2800 self-help groups of minority women in Marathwada, Vidarbha and North Maharashtra. The Cabinet has approved the proposal to waive the total crop loan of Rs 964.15 crore taken by the farmers from the Land Development Bank. In a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, it has been said that in order to increase the income of the farmers, the government will fund the Maharashtra Agribusiness Network (Magnet) for the fund.
The cabinet also decided to withdraw police cases registered during political and social movements by June 30, 2022.
